These fact sheets provide an overview of Sweden's export and import of goods. You can choose your own, or any other country's or region's trade with Sweden. To put the figures into context, the total export and import of Sweden are also shown in the last row of each table.
In most cases, the values are shown in millions Swedish kronor (SEK). If the trade with the selected country is limited, the values are instead presented in thousands of kronor .
About the statistics
The fact sheets are based on data from Statistics Sweden’s (SCB) recurring survey on Swedish companies' trade in goods. New statistics are retrieved from SCB monthly to ensure that the fact sheets are always up-to-date. An automatic selection process identifies the most relevant product groups in terms of value for Sweden's trade with the chosen country or region.
How to read the statistical fact sheet
Fact sheets for full-year data
- Columns (a)–(f): Sweden’s trade with the country/region for the past six years.
- Columns (g)–(h): The percentage change in trade compared to the previous year.
- Columns (i)–(j): The percentage share of a product in Sweden’s total exports/imports to and from the country or region during a year. These columns indicate how important a specific product is in Sweden’s trade with the chosen country or region.
- Column (k): Sweden’s exports/imports of the product to/from the country/region as a percentage of Sweden’s total exports/imports of that product to all countries. This column highlights how significant the country is for Sweden’s trade in that particular product.
Fact sheets for part-year data (e.g., January–March)
- Columns (a)–(e): Show Sweden’s trade with the country/region for the past five years.
- Columns (f)–(g): Show the value of trade with the country/region for the selected period for the past two years.
- Column (h): Shows the percentage change in trade compared to the latest full year.
- Column (i): Shows the percentage change for the selected period compared to the same period in the previous year.
- Column (j): Shows the percentage share of a product in Sweden’s total exports/imports to and from the country or region during the latest full year.
- Column (k): Shows the same as column (j), but for the specified period.
- Column (l): Shows Sweden’s exports/imports of the product to/from the country/region as a percentage of Sweden’s total exports/imports of that product to all countries for the latest full year.
Only relevant product groups included
The fact sheets only include the most relevant product groups. This means you cannot add up rows to calculate Sweden’s total trade with a specific country. For this reason, Sweden’s total exports and imports with the country are always shown on the second-to-last row of the table.
