Enhancing TBT Capacity through Development Cooperation and Technical Assistance

In this report, the National Board of Trade Sweden evaluates its TBT-related development cooperation activities for the last ten years. The evaluation maps out both pitfalls and success factors in developing effective and sustainable TBT capacity building.

The findings in this report have been commented by other donors: the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in the U.S., the National Metrology Institute of Germany (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt – PTB) and Standards Council of Canada (SCC) in Canada, all prominent donors in their field. The findings presented in this report form part of a continuous process to ensure that the National Board of Trade delivers technical assistance that serves its purpose and helps our Cooperation Partners to fulfil their objective, of fully participating in international trade.
